We have roots in Clones, Ireland (Co. Monehan) & Aberdeen, Scotlant. Plan to visit both this summer to search for relatives & connections.
We're looking forward to attending the Bonnie Brae tomorrow for the first time. Do you by chance have a schedule available on-line? |

Do you guys have any information on the band Shilelagh Law? I hear them every week on Ceol Na nGael 90.7fm in NYC and really feel that they are one on Traditional Irish music's rising stars. They have a website at www.halfthebottle.com. Thank you |

About 3 years ago I discovered that I was 1/16th Irish and was totally thrilled about it. You see, I've held a fascination with Celtic/Irish music, literature, and Ireland itself since childhood. All my friends think its comical that a woman with the last name of Figueroa is part Irish. I think its wonderful. I plan on visiting Ireland sometime within the next three years. I recently attended your Scottish/ Irish Mid-Winter Festival and had a great time. The music and step dancing was the highlight for me. Among my favorite entertainers were Full Moon Ensemble, The Jimmy Kelly Band (cool that the fiddle pis a fellow Brooklynite), and the Wicked Tinkers. Thank you for the awesome experience, and please put me on your mailing list for future events. Lisa Marie LFigue4808@aol.com |
